Project Overview

Perfil Publishing House is one of the largest media companies in Argentina, known for its wide range of magazines and publications across Latin America. In 2004, I joined the team as a comic artist and writer, marking my first professional experience in the creative industry.

This project was a turning point in my career, as I realized that comics were not just a hobby but a profession. I was responsible for producing 32 pages per month, managing every stage of the comic-making process, from scriptwriting to final artwork.

Challenge

The project demanded a fast-paced and highly disciplined approach, with strict deadlines and high editorial standards. The main challenges included:

  • Writing and developing engaging comic scripts that fit the magazine’s audience.

  • Producing fully illustrated and colored pages on a monthly basis.

  • Balancing creativity with editorial guidelines and approval processes.

Comic Development & Storytelling

  • Wrote compelling scripts and developed original narratives that resonated with readers.

  • Sketched and storyboarded each issue, ensuring clear visual storytelling.

Illustration & Production

  • Produced fully inked and colored comic pages, maintaining consistency in style and quality.

Publishing & Distribution

  • Worked closely with Perfil’s editorial team to refine and approve each issue.

  • The comics were printed and distributed in Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile, reaching a broad audience.
